What is Thai Massage?
Thai massage (Nuad bo Rarn) is a transformative and energetic bodywork and healing art which consists of reflexology, pressures that lean slowly and rhythmically along the energy lines, deep tissue massage, stretching and movements that look like assisted yoga positions and meditation. To achieve this effect, the therapist the therapist uses hands, thumbs, elbows, feet and knees – thus increasing the flow of energy and thereby help to restore balance and reduce energy blockages.
Thai massage offers a powerful liberation, an increase of vitality and well-being, and deepens the connection between the mind, body and spirit for both the person who offers and who receives.

DETAILS / METHODOLOGY
The group is reduced to 12 people, therefore the teaching is individualized and the quality of it fully guaranteed.
In each class we learn a new sequence of manipulations, stretching, movements, corresponding to a different part of the body.
It is important to learn a sequence at the beginning and integrate the fundamentals well, but also develop your ability to be in the present moment, feel and listen fully. Use the appropriate techniques for the person who receives your massage. During this course you will have the opportunity to connect with this meditative space.
We will put a special focus on the quality of touch (adapt the touch to create the synergy between giving and receiving), alignment of your spine, fluid transitions and how to use your body weight without effort. My intention is to share with you how to offer the massage starting from the presence and mindfulness, so that your hand is the extension of your heart (in fact, it is!)
We will start each morning with preparatory exercises: to strengthen your thumbs, feet and ankles, yoga postures for opening hips and back, exploration of the body in motion, partner exercises, dance, self-massage techniques. These practices prepare you to offer the massage with much more awareness, connection and comfort.
Most of the course is the practice, but you will also hear about the history, principles of Thai medicine and precautions.
It´s highly recommended to offer at least 10 sessions to 5 different people at the end of the course.
You will be able to offer full thai massage session in the positions that compose it: supine, side position, prone, and sitting, from the feet to the head
During the course and practices you will develop your own ability to feel and listen fully as well as connect with your intuition to offer the treatment that suits best the receiver.
You will learn how to use your body weight in a healthy and appropiate way. There are many ways to accommodate your body when giving massage: I will guide you to avoid discomforts so that you can perform the pressure and techniques precisely without unnecessary effort. This part is essential for your health and longevity, especially if you would like to share your talents for a long time.
You will learn the practices of self-care: techniques of self-massage, stretches, breathing exercises, meditation practice.
You will help people to rediscover the sensation of lightness, fullness and vitality in their bodies.
